“Store Room Triage”

Band Program Instrument Repair

One of the free services that Cool Winds offers to band directors is to come to their band program and evaluate all of their instruments. We will compile a list of what instruments they have, the value of the instruments, and repairs needed to get the instruments to 100% playability and reliability. Then we will work with the band director to make a plan to best service their program.

Here is a picture from winter 2025, where Jeff and Jordan evaluated 196 instruments for a band program in the region. 15 instruments were diagnosed “unplayable”, and 2 were deemed perfectly playable which were previously in our shop 15+ years ago. We are proud to provide long-standing reliable repairs that can withstand many years of use.

Special Event “Emergency Repair Table”

We support regional multi-school events with an “Emergency Repair Table” to help to reduce some of the repair stress which can happen at even the coolest events. Get in touch to learn how to have us come to your next event, free of charge!

    We have instruments for sale for both beginners and players looking to upgrade their set-up. We have a good selection of cleaned and rebuilt major-brand saxophones, clarinets, and trumpets. All the playability and reliability of a new instrument, but at a lower cost. We also have new, high-quality student flutes for sale.
